Six 'estate agent' style boards have been put up today on some roads surrounding the fields. More will follow but it took a bit longer than I anticipated. When erecting the boards several people stopped to ask me why I was putting them up. Although they were local, they had no knowledge about the draft local plan and that the Land North of Farm Way is included. They were simply going to enjoy a sunny afternoon walk. I asked them if they were aware that they had the opportunity to object back in 2018 and again they didn't have any knowledge about it.
This is clear evidence that although Hertsmere are supposed to be undertaking a wide-reaching public engagement exercise, not enough local residents in Bushey are aware of the draft local plan. Please mention it to your family, neighbours and friends. The more people that raise their objections to Hertsmere Council, the more chance we have that they will listen to us.
