Following a full council meeting yesterday, Cllr Morris Bright announced that the draft local plan has been shelved. Congratulations to the residents of Hertsmere who sent over 20,000 responses about the various sites that would of destroyed the Green Belt throughout the borough. There were multiple campaign groups such as ours that campaigned rigorously to raise awareness in local communities, a job that council leaders failed to do.
We must continue to be vigilant and make sure that Hertsmere Council stand by their word.
Once again, thank you to everyone that supported the Land North of Farm Way, assisted in raising local awareness and sent their comments and objections to Hertsmere Council.
